Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program

The Central Bucks School District Education Foundation is an approved Educational Improvement Organization (EIO). The Foundation looks forward to partnering with businesses who may wish to support Central Bucks Schools by donating to the Foundation through Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program. Dual Enrollment Program – EITC Program Proposal

The CBSDEF will offer EITC funding for dual enrollment programs and initiatives would offset the costs associated with expanding Dual Enrollment initiatives offered to Central Bucks High School East, Central Bucks High School South, and Central Bucks High School West. CBSD students enrolled in Enrollment (DE) courses are taught by college faculty. DE courses taught at CBSD high schools are college courses and curriculum taught by CV teachers who are approved college adjunct professors.

Upon successful completion of a course, students earn both college (3 or 4 credits) and high school credits (1 CV credit per course).

Currently the Central Bucks School District has agreements in place with Bucks County Community College.

Field Trips – EITC Program Proposal

THE CBSDEF will provide EITC funds for CBSD Field Trips that match these criteria:

  • Field trips will provide a concrete learning experience that enhances the student’s traditional curricular exposure obtained in the classroom. 
  • Field Trips that provide cross-curricular experiences will be prioritized. 
  • Fields Trips will be standards-based and will build connections between classroom instruction and meaningful on-site learning. 
  • Field Trips will cover the core subject matters of Math, English, History, Science, and the Arts.

STEAM Programs – EITC Program Proposal

The CBSDEF will provide EITC funds for CBSD STEAM programs that match these criteria:

  • The STEAM Program must be related to science, technology, engineering, the arts, or mathematics. 
  • The STEAM Program must provide an experience for students that enhances and extends beyond what is being taught within the grade-level STEAM curriculum areas. 
  • A STEAM Program that occurs outside of the traditional school day will be given priority. 
  • A STEAM Program that provides cross-curricular experiences will be prioritized. 
  • CBSD STEAM Programs eligible for EITC funds through CBSDEF supplements the curriculum or academic program of the K-12 public school.
